Wotton House Wedding Photography, Surrey
Wotton House is one of Surrey's most atmospheric country-house wedding venues — a 17th-century manor set in 13 acres on the edge of the Surrey Hills, just outside Dorking. As award-winning wedding photographers with fifteen years and more than a thousand weddings behind us, Nick and Aimie of Beziique are equally at home here as we are on the beaches of Cyprus and Ibiza, and Wotton's layered formal gardens give us the kind of frames most UK venues simply can't. If you're planning your day here, we'd love to tell your story in our relaxed, documentary style — you can browse our recent work in the portfolio or get in touch to check your date.
About the venue
Wotton House sits in 13 acres on the edge of the Surrey Hills, just outside Dorking. The house dates to the 17th century — once home to the diarist John Evelyn — and the gardens behind it are some of the oldest formally landscaped Italian gardens in England.
Ceremonies are usually held in the main house or out in the gardens, with the wedding breakfast served in one of the high-ceilinged reception rooms or under cover on the terrace.

Why we love Wotton House
The Italian gardens are the unfair advantage. Symmetry, mature trees, stone steps, a lake — there's effectively a built-in second venue for portraits sitting right behind the main house.
We photographed Elina and Iain's wedding here and the layered formal garden structure gave us frames that felt closer to a film set than a typical UK wedding shoot.

Our approach to UK wedding photography
At Beziique we believe great wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day — if you'd like to understand how we work, our wedding photography guide walks through our documentary process from start to finish.
We shoot in a documentary, emotion-led way: we follow the day as it unfolds rather than staging it, catching the genuine glances, the laughter and the quiet in-between moments that you'll actually want to remember. The grand formal portraits still happen — Wotton's gardens make sure of that — but they sit alongside an honest, story-led record of how the day really felt. If you love the look of a Surrey country house but are also weighing up a sunlit celebration abroad, it's worth exploring our other historic UK venues such as Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire and the grand Victorian Landmark Hotel London, or seeing the full range across our wedding venues.

How soon will we get our wedding photos?
You'll receive a set of sneak-peek images within the first days after your wedding, so you have something beautiful to share while the memories are fresh. Your full, hand-edited gallery is then delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.
Do you travel to the UK for weddings?
Absolutely. While much of our work takes us to Cyprus and Ibiza, the UK is home and we regularly photograph weddings across England, including Surrey venues like Wotton House. Travel within the UK is included or charged at a modest, transparent rate depending on location, and we're always happy to confirm the details when you enquire. If you'd like to discuss your wedding, please get in touch and we'll let you know our availability for your date.
What's your photography style?
Our style is documentary and emotion-led. We tell the story of your day as it genuinely unfolds — the real moments, the laughter, the tears and the small details — rather than directing you through a long list of stiff, posed set-ups. We still create a handful of beautiful, relaxed portraits (and Wotton's Italian gardens are made for exactly that), but the heart of our work is an honest, timeless record of how the day actually felt. You can see plenty of examples in our portfolio.
What makes Wotton House special?
Wotton House is a genuine 17th-century country house — once home to the celebrated diarist John Evelyn — set in 13 acres on the edge of the Surrey Hills. Its standout feature is the formal Italian gardens behind the main house, among the oldest formally landscaped gardens in England, with symmetry, mature trees, stone steps and a lake. For photography that means there's effectively a second venue built into the grounds, giving us elegant, film-set frames just steps from the ceremony. It's a rare combination of history, grandeur and natural backdrop in one Surrey location.
