Liopetro Cyprus Wedding Photography
Liopetro is one of our favourite rustic exclusive estates for UK couples marrying in Paphos — a private hilltop venue in the heart of Kouklia village, looking out over the sparkling turquoise sea. With its old-world Cypriot stonework, landscaped gardens and a circular ceremony terrace, it offers the kind of warm, characterful backdrop that documentary wedding photography was made for. As award-winning Paphos wedding photographers, we have spent years getting to know this corner of Cyprus, and Liopetro remains a venue we recommend wholeheartedly to couples planning a relaxed, intimate destination wedding within easy reach of the UK.

About the venue
In the heart of Kouklia village sits this gorgeous Cyprus wedding venue. Stunning landscaped gardens look out over the sparkling turquoise sea, and a circular terrace makes a perfect ceremony space that can be set up in many ways. The on-site team can decorate to suit your budget and guest numbers.
Liopetro itself is rustic and charming — it reminds us of old world Cyprus. It is a private, exclusive venue that hosts many different events as well as weddings. Owners Makis and Ifigenia lead a dedicated team committed to making your wedding day the most special day of your lives. The food here is also amazingly delicious.

Why we love Liopetro
The venue is beautifully appointed, with rooms for the bride and groom to get ready and every luxury you could imagine. Some venues are just simply special — Liopetro is no exception. Book your wedding and wedding photography here and you will create the most amazing memories with exquisite backdrops. Be treated like a goddess in the original birthplace of Aphrodite herself.
At Beziique we believe great Cyprus wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day. If you are still weighing up where to celebrate, our guide to getting married in Paphos sets out the legal essentials and the best spots to marry, and you can compare Liopetro alongside other luxury Cyprus wedding venues such as the charming Vasilias Nikoklis Inn or the serene Minthis Hills Resort. It also helps to think about timing, so our guide to the best time to get married in Cyprus is worth a read before you set a date.

Can we have our ceremony on the beach or at our villa?
Yes. A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held anywhere you like — a beach, a garden, a clifftop, a private villa or a vineyard — because it isn't tied to the legal paperwork. If you want your actual legal wedding outdoors, many licensed venues can host the civil ceremony too; your planner will confirm what's possible at your chosen spot. Either way, Cyprus's beaches and landscapes make a breathtaking backdrop.
When is the best time of year to get married in Cyprus?
The most popular months are May–June and September–October, when temperatures sit around a comfortable 20–26°C and the light is soft and golden — ideal for photography. July and August are the hottest (often 32°C and above), so we recommend later-afternoon and sunset ceremonies in high summer. The shoulder seasons give the best light, while winter is the cheapest and quietest time to marry in Cyprus if you want an intimate, low-cost celebration.
How soon will we get our wedding photos?
You'll receive a set of sneak-peek images within the first days after your wedding, so you have something beautiful to share while the memories are fresh. Your full, hand-edited gallery is then delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.
How long do we have to be in Cyprus before the wedding?
You need to be in Cyprus for a minimum of one clear working day before your ceremony. In practice most couples arrive a few days early to settle in and meet their planner. If you are short on time, a Special Licence (which carries an extra fee) lets you marry within roughly three business days of applying. You apply to the local Marriage Officer at the town hall of the district where you are marrying.
Where is Liopetro?
Liopetro sits in the heart of Kouklia village in the Paphos district of Cyprus — the area known as the birthplace of Aphrodite, just a short drive from Paphos town and the coast. It is a private, exclusive hilltop estate with sea views, making it both easy for guests to reach from Paphos (PFO) airport and beautifully removed from the bustle once you arrive.
