Windsor Guildhall Wedding Photography

Windsor Guildhall is one of the most characterful civil ceremony venues in the country — a 17th-century town hall in the heart of royal Windsor, a short walk from the Castle, the river and the Long Walk. For UK couples who want an intimate, history-soaked wedding with a genuine sense of place, it's hard to beat. As award-winning documentary wedding photographers, we love the way a Windsor Guildhall day unfolds: a small, warm ceremony in the upper hall, then the whole of historic Windsor opening up as your portrait backdrop. You can see more of our work across the UK and abroad in our portfolio, and browse other wedding venues we photograph regularly.

About the venue

Windsor Guildhall is the 17th-century town hall sitting in the heart of historic Windsor, a short walk from the Castle and the river. It's a popular civil ceremony venue and the same building where several royal weddings have taken place.

The ceremony itself happens in the upper hall — high ceilings, large windows, painted royal portraits on the walls — and the surrounding cobbled streets and Castle backdrop give the post-ceremony portraits a sense of place few UK venues can match.

Why we love Windsor Guildhall

Smaller intimate ceremonies often work best here. The Guildhall handles the official side, and then the whole of central Windsor — castle walls, Long Walk, river — becomes the portrait location.

We photographed Helen and Ali's wedding here and walking the streets of Windsor with the wedding party afterwards was one of the more memorable city sessions we've done. There's a relaxed energy to a Guildhall wedding — guests spilling out onto the cobbles, passers-by stopping to wish the couple well, the Castle rising behind every frame — that lends itself perfectly to our unobtrusive, story-led way of shooting. If you're planning a London or Home Counties celebration, it pairs beautifully with a reception at a venue like the Landmark Hotel London or a country-house weekend at Wotton House.

Our approach to UK wedding photography

At Beziique we believe great wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day.

Our style is documentary and emotional — we follow the day as it happens rather than staging it, capturing the small, true moments alongside the big ones. That suits the compact, fast-moving nature of a Guildhall ceremony, where the magic is often in a glance, a held hand or a burst of laughter in the upper hall. After the formalities, we take you out into Windsor for natural, relaxed portraits, working quickly so you spend more time with your guests and less time posing.

  • How soon will we get our wedding photos?

You'll receive a set of sneak-peek images within the first days after your wedding, so you have something beautiful to share while the memories are fresh. Your full, hand-edited gallery is then delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.

  • Do you travel to the UK for weddings?

Yes, absolutely. Although much of our work is in Cyprus and Ibiza, we are UK-based at heart and regularly photograph weddings across Britain, including Windsor and the wider London and Home Counties area. We've shot many UK celebrations over our 15+ years and 1000+ weddings, so a venue like Windsor Guildhall is very familiar territory for us. Just tell us your date and location when you enquire and we'll confirm availability and travel details.

  • What's your photography style?

Our style is documentary and emotional. We tell the story of your day as it really happens — the quiet glances, the laughter, the tears, the moments you'd otherwise miss — rather than interrupting it with long lists of staged poses. At Windsor Guildhall that means we work discreetly through the ceremony and then capture relaxed, natural portraits out in the streets and against the Castle. The result is a gallery that feels honest, timeless and full of genuine emotion.

  • What makes Windsor Guildhall special?

Windsor Guildhall is a historic civic landmark in the heart of royal Windsor — a 17th-century town hall just steps from Windsor Castle, the river and the Long Walk. It carries real history (several royal weddings have taken place here) and the upper hall, with its high ceilings, grand windows and painted royal portraits, makes an elegant setting for an intimate civil ceremony. What truly sets it apart is the location: once the formalities are done, the cobbled streets and Castle backdrop give your portraits a sense of place that very few UK venues can offer.
