Lauren & Anthony — Engagement Shoot, Virginia Water
Is there anything more romantic than a hand-in-hand walk in the woods with the one you love on an early autumnal morning? Kicking up the golden leaves that crunch underfoot, with a sense of mystery in the air all around you. It is a very magical time of year with amazing light early in the day. Lauren and Anthony chose to have their engagement shoot with us at Virginia Water in Surrey, part of the Windsor Great Park complex.

About Virginia Water
This is a wonderful place to be, full of beautiful specimen trees and flowers, open all year round to the public. There is a man-made cascade waterfall over large rocks, and a very pleasant 4.5-mile walk around the lake. It encompasses many curiosities, including a 100-foot carved totem pole — a gift from the people of Canada to the Queen in 1958 — an obelisk raised by George II, and part of a ruined city tucked away on the west side of the lake called Leptis Magna, imported from near Tripoli in Libya. The park is popular with all ages and a dog-walker's haven.
The shoot
The park provided the ideal setting and backdrop for a very relaxed, casual engagement shoot. We had great fun with this couple, with a lot of laughter. They are very much in love and we wish them well for the future. We loved shooting their wedding photography in late April 2016 at Dorney Court in Windsor, Berkshire.
