About Healey Barn
The barn is owned by the Cripps group. This is where Sonny and Joanna chose to celebrate their beautiful wedding, at the wonderful Healey Barn. Healey is near Corbridge in the Tyne Valley, set in the most peaceful countryside with beautiful, open views to the south, yet under 20 miles from the centre of Newcastle. The Barn stands alone in stunning surroundings. The Long Barn is like a fairytale — fairy lights and fireplaces that lead out to an open courtyard.
The day
Joanna and her bridesmaids got ready at Angel in Corbridge. Sonny, her husband-to-be, got ready at the Lord Crewe with his best men and ushers. Both bride and groom looked amazing once they were ready, and we captured some lovely images of this part of the day.
The ceremony
The ceremony took place in the afternoon at the barn. It was very sweet and full of love and laughter.
Portraits and reception
We then took the couple off for a private shoot together. Lots of fun was had to capture the happy couple alone, before it was back to their guests for cocktails and mingling. Sonny and Joanna then made their grand entrance to the wedding breakfast. They cut the cake and had speeches.
