Louise and Mike — Galu Seaside, Cyprus
The Galu Seaside is a light, contemporary venue perfect for Cyprus wedding photography. It sits right on the beach of Larnaca Bay, with white-painted decking and gazebos, sparkling blue sea and a private sandy beach. It's a totally unique and stylish place, relaxing, refreshing and stunning — a place that makes your heart beat.
The venue
The decorations
Gorgeous white floral arches and stunning white and green arrangements dotted the venue. Elegant white chairs with simple white organza touches were set out for guests. An air of simple elegance created the setting for Louise and Mike's "I do" moment.
The preparations
Louise prepared for her special day with her mother and bridesmaids at The Josephine Boutique Hotel. First came hair and makeup for all the girls, then her mother helped her into her wedding dress — a simply stunning gown, strapless with a beautiful tulle mermaid skirt. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in pale silver-grey dresses, with simple hand-tied posies of mixed white flowers and foliage. Her father was very emotional when he saw her. Louise looked simply amazing.
Mike got ready in another suite in the Josephine, joined by his groomsmen and best man. There were nerves and laughter. Mike looked lovely in his pale grey suit.
The ceremony
As guests gathered and took their places, Mike waited with his best man, anxious and excited to see Louise for the very first time as a bride. She walked down the aisle on her father's arm and, when she saw Mike, a huge smile erupted on her face and the ceremony began. Rings were exchanged and promises made — a very touching ceremony. A whirlwind of confetti was thrown at the couple as their guests cheered them on as the new Mr and Mrs Sexton.
The bridal portraits
We whisked Louise and Mike off after the group photographs and took them to the beach. There were dramatic skies on their wedding day. The light was truly magical for this part of the day — one of our favourite parts of any wedding, having the couple alone to create lasting and beautiful memories.
The reception
The wedding breakfast was set up on the decking — simple and stylish, with clean white china and crystal glasses. Centrepieces of white flowers and eucalyptus adorned each table. Louise and Mike's wedding cake was four-tiered with divine sugar roses. The food was really tasty and everyone seemed to enjoy it. There were speeches and cake cutting. While guests finished their desserts we took the couple off for a sunset shoot in and around the venue.
The evening
The party — Louise and Mike's wedding finished with dancing and Love Lights. Lots of dancing and fun. It was truly an amazing night.
Galu may be becoming one of our most favourite Cyprus wedding photography venues. The staff at Galu went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, as always. Louise and Mike would like to thank all the suppliers who made their amazing day so special and unique.
