Amie & Graeme's Floral Mountain Wedding in Cyprus
"I received a surprise Christmas gift to New York. We flew out there between Christmas and New Year and Graeme proposed under the huge Christmas tree outside the Rockefeller Centre," grins Amie. "He's always known I love Christmas trees and this one was the biggest around. He proposed with a Haribo ring and we went shopping in New York, where I chose my diamond and had it made into a ring."

Saying yes to Cyprus
"I had planned my wedding since I was a little girl in my head and when I saw Vasilias Nikoklis Inn, I knew the moment I saw it. I had told everybody the venue needed to have lots of greenery and this place did. There were lots of flowers, which made it so pretty."
Choosing Beziique
"It was easy to choose Nick and Aimie at Beziique. I mean, look at their work. Both are very outgoing, friendly and funny and went out of their way to produce the best work."

The search for the dress
With her heart set on surprising everyone — family included — with her dress on the day, shopping proved a challenge. "I arranged a girly shopping day and enjoyed it, but I did not want to give anything away. After a few visits, I bought a dress I had tried on alone and arranged to have adjustments made to create the design I was after."
"I had scrapbooked my ultimate dream dress and lo and behold, I spotted it again on Pinterest and this time the designer was listed. I started Googling, found my nearest stockist in Swindon and arranged to drive three hours to try it on. Graeme being the gentleman he is offered to drive me, so I had to tell him why we were going. He waited in the car while I went in, put it on and cried. I had found my dream dress."
A low-key look for the groom
"Graeme wears a suit every day to work, but he is most comfortable in shorts. I suggested shorts, a bow tie and braces and he was overjoyed. He wanted a smart but relaxed feel and this worked for the sunshine too."

The ceremony
Amie glided down in her show-stopping gown while Graeme's brother played "Tenerife Sea" by Ed Sheeran on the guitar. It was romantic in an intimate, natural setting.
Marry Me Cyprus styling
"I took three suitcases of items I had collected and made, and flew pastel-painted watering cans out to our florist. I wanted to create a pretty floral look to complement our venue in the mountains. We had an amazing flower wall, bikes and swings made from paper flowers — they were great for photo opportunities."
"We also hired Katie from Marry Me Cyprus. She was like my wedding fairy godmother, ensuring everything arrived from my suppliers and was perfectly arranged on the day."

Cottage garden blooms
"Our floral designer was great. I asked for flowers inspired by my nan's cottage garden and our florist used imported and hand-picked blooms to create the look. We had floral bouquets, buttonholes, watering cans, ceremony flowers, cake flowers, doughnut flowers — even flowers in my hair."
The cake
"I chose lemon drizzle and Graeme chose red velvet. It was delicious and decorated with wildflowers. I also brought over a doughnut wall, with each doughnut covered in pastel icing and edible flowers. I was over the moon."
Party time
"The one thing Graeme and I disagreed on when planning our wedding was the music. I can honestly say Mike Peers blew us away — we gave him an idea of what we liked and I do not think the dance floor was empty all night. We partied hard."

Earlier in the day, the couple booked a saxophone player to add atmosphere during the drinks reception, and treated guests to refreshing treats from a vintage ice cream cart.
Words of wisdom
"Enjoy every moment. Try not to stress about the little things. In the grand scheme of things the only thing that matters is you two. Take 10 minutes out together to step back and really take it all in."
