The preparations

Claire began her wedding day full of excitement. They had chosen a really pretty place to begin the bridal preparations — Residenza Luce, with its balcony looking out over the rooftops of Amalfi.

Hair and make-up came first for Claire and her bridesmaids. Her mum and her little flower girl were also getting ready there. Claire looked amazing in her dress — a classic A-line style with lace details. She wore stunning Christian Louboutin sparkly shoes with the classic red soles. Her bridesmaids also looked so pretty in their beaded one-shoulder dresses. A mix of pinks and white flowers in the bouquets made the whole bridal party look gorgeous.

Nuwan and his groomsmen got ready at the Amalfi Luxury House, not too far away. He looked so handsome in his blue suit.

The ceremony

The ceremony was held in the stunning Cathedral with its many steps outside. There are no words for how amazing this old building was — with ornate touches and traditional feel, the space inside was awe-inspiring. Nuwan waited nervously for his bride, who walked through part of the town and up the many steps to be with him. Her father gave his daughter away in a very emotional service. Vows and promises, rings and love were exchanged, and then the couple emerged back on to the steps. A shower of confetti followed, before we took the formal group shots.

Bride and groom

We then whisked our couple away for a private bride and groom shoot, stealing them away to a lovely location right next to the cathedral and taking some stunning images among the palms and white arches.

The reception

Claire and Nuwan's wedding reception took place at the Hotel Santa Caterina, set on the very edge of the rugged Amalfi coast. The evening meal was in the restaurant that overlooks the sea. With candles and sparklers, the evening went off bang — good food, good company and great live music.

This was an amazing day for them and for us, and we are so happy to have created the most amazing images.
