Thalassines Beach Villas Wedding Photography
Thalassines Beach Villas is one of the most relaxed and private settings for a wedding on the Protaras coast — a small cluster of beachside villas built around their own marina, where the whole celebration unfolds at your own pace. For UK couples who want the freedom of a private compound rather than the bustle of a hotel, it is a quietly special choice, and one we know intimately from photographing real weddings here. As award-winning Cyprus wedding photographers based on the island, we love how a villa wedding lets us tell the story of a whole week, not just a single afternoon. If you are still weighing up the area, our guide to getting married in Protaras is a good place to start.
About the venue
Thalassines is a cluster of private villas built around a small marina just outside Ayia Napa. Each villa has its own pool and direct sea access, so the venue effectively becomes a private compound for the wedding party for the whole week.
Ceremonies typically happen on the beach itself or on one of the villa terraces overlooking the marina. The scale is intimate — this isn't a hotel ballroom kind of venue — but the privacy and the freedom to spread the day across the complex are the draw.

Why we love Thalassines
The multi-day rhythm makes a huge difference photographically. Welcome drinks the night before, the wedding itself, then a relaxed beach session the day after — you end up with a body of work that tells the story of a week, not just a single ceremony. If you are planning around the seasons, our guide to the best time to get married in Cyprus explains when the marina light is at its most flattering.
We shot Raya & Adhib's celebration here over several days and the variety of light, water and quiet villa corners gave us one of our richest Cyprus galleries.

Our approach to Cyprus wedding photography
At Beziique we believe great Cyprus wedding photography goes far beyond technical skill. It is about creating unforgettable experiences and timeless, beautiful pieces of art that capture every moment of your day.
Our style is documentary and emotional — we work quietly in the background, letting your day breathe so the real moments happen on their own. With more than fifteen years and over a thousand weddings behind us as a Protaras wedding photographer team, we know how the light moves across the marina and the beach through the day, and how to use the private corners of a venue like Thalassines to their full advantage as your Protaras wedding photographer. You can see the breadth of that work across our portfolio.
If Thalassines is one of several venues you are comparing, our overview of Cyprus beach wedding venues sets it alongside other coastal options, and couples after something a little grander often look at the Grecian Park Hotel or the seafront Cavo Zoe nearby.

Can we have our ceremony on the beach or at our villa?
Yes. A symbolic ceremony or blessing can be held anywhere you like — a beach, a garden, a clifftop, a private villa or a vineyard — because it isn't tied to the legal paperwork. If you want your actual legal wedding outdoors, many licensed venues can host the civil ceremony too; your planner will confirm what's possible at your chosen spot. Either way, Cyprus's beaches and landscapes make a breathtaking backdrop.
When is the best time of year to get married in Cyprus?
The most popular months are May–June and September–October, when temperatures sit around a comfortable 20–26°C and the light is soft and golden — ideal for photography. July and August are the hottest (often 32°C and above), so we recommend later-afternoon and sunset ceremonies in high summer. The shoulder seasons give the best light, while winter is the cheapest and quietest time to marry in Cyprus if you want an intimate, low-cost celebration.
How soon will we get our wedding photos?
You'll receive a set of sneak-peek images within the first days after your wedding, so you have something beautiful to share while the memories are fresh. Your full, hand-edited gallery is then delivered in approximately 6–10 weeks. Every image is individually edited in our signature documentary style — we never cut corners on the part that lasts a lifetime.
How long do we have to be in Cyprus before the wedding?
You need to be in Cyprus for a minimum of one clear working day before your ceremony. In practice most couples arrive a few days early to settle in and meet their planner. If you are short on time, a Special Licence (which carries an extra fee) lets you marry within roughly three business days of applying. You apply to the local Marriage Officer at the town hall of the district where you are marrying.
