Kitty & Kevin's Luxury Olympic Lagoon Resort Wedding in Ayia Napa
"We knew straight away we wanted to have a small group wedding party abroad, both having small families. We also wanted somewhere sunny and scenic, so originally it was Bali, then Cancun, but both seemed to have a lot of negatives that outweighed the positives," explains Kevin.

Setting the course for an Olympic Lagoon wedding
"Then Kitty set her heart on an Olympic Lagoon wedding in Cyprus as she fell in love as soon as she saw the venue. It was not your typical abroad beach wedding — it was like something from a fairytale with the gardens and the palm trees."
Aisle style
Bride Kitty stunned in the "Mercedes" design by Enzoani, while her five bridesmaids glowed in multiway designs. "As soon as I tried it on I fell in love with it. The dramatic train was my favourite part of the dress, as well as the low back, which I loved for a wedding in the sun."
Paying homage to his Scottish roots, the groom looked dapper in an eternal thistle tartan kilt, waistcoat and sporran. His groomsmen joined him, hiring eternity tartan kilts from McDonalds Kilts of Cyprus.

Tying the knot in tropical style
The couple tied the knot in a beautifully intimate ceremony. A canopy of elegant white lanterns filled the air above them, fluffy florals billowed along the aisle and blossom trees framed the location for their vows.
Ceremony snapshots
"Finally seeing my future wife walking down the aisle looking unbelievable made me feel like the luckiest man on earth," smiles Kevin. "We loved how intimate the ceremony was, shared with only our nearest and dearest. Plus, the venue team were so organised and took all the stress away."
Let the celebrations begin
This fun-loving couple had a host of entertainment planned. First up was a ride on an open-top bus, cruising through gorgeous Cyprus scenery, which gave us the chance to capture sentimental in-the-moment photos as the couple let their hair down.

A barbecue delighted every guest and provided the perfect fuel to party. Kitty and Kevin hired in an LED dance floor and local DJ. "Our wedding coordinator organised this all perfectly and took our list of preferences. The guests absolutely loved it and had some Scottish classics too." Firework fountains lit up their first dance.
A fairy-tale theme
"We took inspiration from Beauty and the Beast for our wedding in a nod to an in-joke of ours. We wanted something simple and elegant and chose mostly champagne gold and accents of navy blue to complement the scenery. The gardens were beautiful on their own, so we only added some flowers for decorations. At night the gardens glittered with hanging lanterns and we had martini glass centrepieces."
Choosing their Olympic Lagoon wedding photographer
Kitty and Kevin asked their venue to recommend suppliers. This led them to their videographer, who in turn recommended local Olympic Lagoon wedding photographers — including us.

"They were exactly who we were looking for and their work is absolutely amazing," gush Kitty and Kevin. "On the wedding day, we finally met them and they are some of the nicest people we have ever met. Kevin and I are not the type of people who know how to act in front of a camera but they made us feel at ease. We feel like even now the wedding is over we will not lose touch with Nick and Aimie."
"We also want to say a huge thank you for everything they did on the day and after for us. On the day they stayed extra late to continue taking pictures and ensure they had every important moment of our day."
