Maryellen + Ben — Laura Beach Hotel, Cyprus
Maryellen knew what she wanted and chased Ben for a good five years before he gave in. They actually knew each other for a couple of years before starting to date in 1998, so by the time they got married they had been "courting" for 19 years with three beautiful kids.

How they met
The proposal
Ben got down on one knee at the Craigie Inn on Valentine's Day 2000 — a surprise for Maryellen, who couldn't believe that "Kilmarnock's own Brad Pitt" had proposed. The ring is a square diamond with diamond clusters surrounding it.
The dress and groom's outfit
An Essence wedding dress with a sweetheart top, diamond belt, beautiful layers of soft tulle and a soft veil to finish the look.
The groom wore a highland granite-grey kilt with a white shirt and silver/grey cravat.
Finishing touches
A gorgeous pink and ivory flower theme by Paper Flowers Cyprus — everything was stunning.

The wedding day
"Amazing from start to finish — more than we ever dreamed."
Favourite part of the day
Every minute of it. After 19 years and three kids, they cherished every second of the wedding. Having all close family and friends there meant the world to them. They left an empty chair at the front for Maryellen's beloved mum Ellen, who sadly passed away. The beautiful Cyprus setting was a highlight, but the favourite part was finally tying the knot with her best friend and soulmate.
Why Laura Beach Hotel
The beach setting at Laura Beach Hotel sold it for them — the most beautiful setting ever with a beautiful sunset.
Trash The Dress
A trash-the-dress shoot by Nick and Aimie — Ben was a bit reluctant at first, but they had so much fun. It was really romantic, ending in the sea.

Advice for other couples
"Don't stress and enjoy every second of the wedding."
On working with Beziique
"Nick and Aimie are the most laid-back couple I've met — they totally rock. From the moment we met them, they felt like they were our friends."
