Lauren & Nick — Can Curreu, Ibiza
Think of a perfect blue sky, not a single cloud in sight, and your spirits lift. That is an Ibiza sky. The sunlight on this island has a special warm glow — a light that can be used, with skill, by an Ibiza wedding photographer.

Ibiza wedding photography at its best
The venue
Can Curreu sits in the hills beautifully under this sky and this amazing light. The white walls and terraced buildings are very beautiful. The grounds are peppered with mature palms and fruit trees, and stunning red bougainvillea flowers deliver a heady scent. It's a totally unique and epic place, yet so relaxing at the same time. It's laid-back, but the buzz of the place hits you as soon as you walk up the drive. Truly refreshing and stunning — a place that makes your heart beat.
The decorations
The team from Cardoman Events — the island's premier event planners, Hélène and Craig — had done an amazing job. They were exemplary and the friendliest team we have met in a long while. Simple white chairs filled the ceremony area. Lanterns hung above suspended on strings, and an arch with pretty tulle and white flowers created the setting for Lauren and Nick's "I do" moment.

The preparations
Lauren prepared for her special day with her mother and her bridesmaids. Hair and makeup came first, and then her bridesmaids and mother helped her into her wedding dress — a simply stunning one, with a beautiful lace pattern and cut-out back. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in off-white tulle overlay dresses, finished with simple hand-tied posies of roses. When her father saw her, he was very emotional.
Nick got ready at his best man's villa near Can Curreu, joined by his groomsmen and best man. There were nerves and laughter. The lads all looked amazing in their blue suits.
The ceremony
As guests gathered and took their places, Nick waited with his best man — anxious and excited to see Lauren for the first time as a bride. She walked down the aisle on her father's arm, and when she saw Nick a huge smile erupted on her face. Rings were exchanged and promises made. It was a very touching ceremony, and we loved capturing the emotions. A hurricane of rose petal confetti was thrown as the couple left for their cocktail reception.

Bridal portraits
We whisked Lauren and Nick off after the group photographs and took them on a tour of the grounds. We captured some lovely shots, and the light was truly magical for this part of the day. This is one of our favourite parts of any wedding day — to have the couple alone and create lasting, beautiful memories.
The reception
The wedding breakfast was set up under a specially built terrace with a roof to shade guests while they ate. Tables were named after the villages and beaches on the island. The set-up was simple and stylish, with white china and crystal glasses. Centrepieces of roses and gold votives adorned each table. Lauren and Nick's wedding cake was three-tiered with gold accents and white roses. The food served was really tasty and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
While the guests finished their desserts, we took the couple off for a sunset shoot in and around the grounds.

The evening
The party. Lauren and Nick's wedding finally finished with dancing, DJs and a tribal drummer with feathers and tribal markings. Lots of dancing and fun — truly an epic night.
In conclusion
This may be one of our favourite Ibiza wedding photography venues. The staff and Cardoman Events went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
