Donna & Byron — Vasilias Nikoklis Inn, Paphos
The Vasilias Nikoklis Inn near Paphos is one of our favourite locations to photograph destination weddings in Cyprus. It is pretty, intimate and very traditional, with rustic stone walls and pretty gardens — the perfect venue for a romantic wedding.
Romance at the Vasilias Inn
Getting ready
Donna got ready with her bridesmaids in a cool, shady room while a stylist did hair and makeup. Donna wore her hair swept up with a stunning beaded headdress. Her dress was so pretty — floaty fabric and beading, with a bow tied to one side of her waist. She looked glowing and radiant on her special day. Byron looked amazing too in his blue suit, very dapper indeed.
The ceremony
Donna walked down the steps from where she got ready on her father's arm, and the sweet ceremony began in front of all their family and friends. Rings and vows were exchanged under the vines in the courtyard. The tables for the wedding breakfast were decorated in simple white and hessian — a gorgeous rustic theme that suited the venue perfectly.
Bride and groom portraits
We then stole the couple away to shoot their bride and groom portraits, with the addition of a traditional goat herder and his goats. We really love the pictures from this part of the day.
Reception
A reception in the simply beautiful courtyard took place under twinkling fairy lights and the warm Cyprus night air. The whole place sparkled with warm, inviting light as the newlyweds performed their first dance together.
The whole day was just so amazing, and such an honour to be their wedding photographers. We would also like to thank the staff at the Vasilias Nikoklis Inn for welcoming us once again to their amazing venue.
