Marco & Anastassia — Liopetro, Cyprus
Once again we were welcomed back by Makis and Ifigenia to their beautiful venue in the village of Kouklia. This place is special to us as we live very close by and have become great friends with all the staff. A circular terrace overlooks the sea, which twinkles in the sunlight. Surrounding the venue are the ancient ruins of kings. A small chapel remains, and the wedding ceremony was held here in traditional style. This is a gorgeous venue for sure — and truly Cypriot.

The decorations
Gorgeous white hydrangea and pink and white floral decorations dotted the venue. Elegant white chairs and goldfish bowls full of white flowers adorned the guest tables. Fairy lights around the terrace created a magical setting for Marco and Anastassia's special day.
The preparations
Anastassia prepared for her special day with her bridesmaids at the venue, which has a room especially for this. Hair and makeup came first, and then she was helped into her wedding dress — a simply stunning one, with a beautiful lace pattern, A-line skirt and low back. Her bridesmaids complemented her perfectly in their nude pink dresses. Simple hand-tied posies of roses with ribboned handles finished the look. Anastassia looked glowing and radiant.

Marco got ready at another venue not too far away, joined by his groomsmen and his best man. There were nerves and laughter. Marco looked lovely in his navy blue suit.
The ceremony
As the guests gathered and took their places in the chapel, Marco waited with his best man — anxious and excited to see Anastassia for the first time as a bride. She walked down the aisle on her father's arm and, when she saw Marco, happiness and smiles erupted on her face. The traditional ceremony began. Rings were exchanged and promises made. It was a very touching ceremony, and we loved capturing the emotions. A hurricane of confetti was thrown outside the church — we love a great confetti shot.
Bridal portraits
We whisked Marco and Anastassia off after the group photographs and took them to the grounds and surrounds of the venue. They also posed by the Rolls Royce hired for the day. The light was truly magical for this part of the day — one of our favourite parts of any wedding.

The reception
The wedding breakfast was set up in the round courtyard overlooking the sea. The set-up was simple and stylish, with simple china and crystal glasses. Centrepieces of roses, hydrangea and foliage sat on each table. Their wedding cake was three-tiered with elegant scroll accents. The food was really tasty and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Speeches and cake cutting followed.
While the guests finished their desserts, we took the couple off for a sunset shoot in and around the venue and captured some stunning shots.
The evening
The party. Marco and Anastassia's wedding finally finished with dancing, a Money Dance and plenty of joyful laughter — truly a wonderful night.

Special thanks
Special thanks to Michael Antinou, who sang at their wedding and supplied the vintage car. He is an amazing guy.
