Jaclyn & Steven Moss — Almyra Hotel, Paphos
Over seven years ago Steven didn't show up to their first date, so Jaclyn went to a boxing match — and he turned up there the following night. He apologised, asked her on another date, and the rest is history.

How they met
The proposal
Steven proposed in November 2015. They went to New York and took a walk to Times Square. He told her to look up at the big billboard — and to her surprise it was a picture of their son saying "Mummy will you marry Daddy?".
The dress and groom's suit
Jaclyn wore a Justin Alexander signature dress with a custom-made Justin Alexander cathedral-length veil. Steven wore a custom-fitted black suit and waistcoat teamed with his Gucci shoes.
Finishing touches
Paper flowers decorated the venue and made their dream a reality.
The wedding day at the Almyra

They always imagined getting married in front of the water under a beautiful white draped arch. The Almyra was by far their favourite venue — it brought so much class to their wedding day.
The cocktail reception was on the beautiful Kyma roofs with stunning views of Paphos. The Cypriot food was incredible and guests were so happy with the food choice. Both guests and the couple captured some amazing sunset photographs to treasure. Then Andy hosted the party at night with the best music.
Favourite part of the day
Saying her vows to her husband in front of the water — Jaclyn says she can't even explain how magical it was. And dancing to their first dance, "Wonderwall".
Why the Almyra
The Almyra was perfect — they didn't want their wedding to feel like a wedding in a holiday complex. The Almyra's gardens made the day private and intimate, and the staff couldn't have done enough for them.
Styling and décor
Jaclyn came across paper flowers only three months before the wedding and luckily their date was available — the only date left that month. For the ceremony she made it look like a fairy tale: a flower-mounted draped arch and a white runner with scattered petals. For the reception, a beautiful blush pink flower wall with the couple's names mounted on it in soft gold, with blush pink flower balls on crystal candelabras as centrepieces. Their DJ Andy set up lit-up LOVE letters on the dance floor in the West Mosaics restaurant for the night.

Food and music
A traditional Cypriot mezze-style menu — grilled chicken, fillet steak and pork. Their first dance was "Wonderwall", not a typical first dance song but it meant a lot to them. They ended the night like a proper Scottish wedding, all singing Loch Lomond together. That was when Jaclyn got emotional thinking about how much it meant that people had travelled to Cyprus to spend their special day with them.
Advice for other couples
"Visit Cyprus beforehand so you can properly imagine how your day will be. End of September weather would have been better — it was incredibly hot even at 4pm."
